Tuesday Fixtures
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich
On Tuesday night, in front of a boisterous Emirates crowd, two former Champions League rivals reconnect as Arsenal and Bayern Munich square off in the first leg of their quarterfinal match.
The Gunners defeated Porto on penalties to extinguish memories of last season's knockout round.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel's team, which will be without any supporters in North London due to an incident involving fireworks, has advanced thus far thanks to a second-leg comeback victory over Lazio.
Arsenal possible starting XI:
Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
Bayern Munich possible starting XI:
Ulreich; Kimmich, Upamecano, Kim, Davies; Goretzka, Laimer; Muller, Musiala, Gnabry; Kane
Real Madrid vs Man City
Tuesday's quarterfinal first leg at the Bernabeu will pit European giants Real Madrid against current holders Manchester City in a reprise of last year's thrilling Champions League semi-final.
Though nothing could separate the two big rivals in the Spanish capital before City went wild at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola's team destroyed the 14-time winners 5-1 over two matches just under a year ago to sweep into the final.
Real Madrid, who are growing accustomed to tough knockout evenings with their Manchester rivals, still have a lot of unfinished business at Etihad following their humiliation the previous season, but Carlo Ancelotti's Blancos' recent form gives hope that Tuesday's hosts might unseat the Sky Blues.
Real Madrid possible starting XI:
Lunin; Carvajal, Rudiger, Nacho, Mendy; Valverde, Tchouameni, Kroos; Bellingham; Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo
Manchester City possible starting XI:
Ederson; Lewis, Stones, Dias, Akanji; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Doku, Haaland, Foden
