Chelsea secured a stunning victory against Manchester United with a 4-3 win at Stamford Bridge, thanks to Cole Palmer's heroics in added time.
The match kicked off with an early lead for Chelsea, as Conor Gallagher capitalised on Malo Gusto's deflected shot within the first four minutes.
The Blues extended their advantage when Palmer confidently converted a penalty after Marc Cucurella was fouled.
However, Manchester United swiftly responded to Chelsea's dominance.
They clawed their way back into the game before halftime, with Garnacho capitalizing on a mistake by Moises Caicedo to score, followed by a well-placed header from Bruno Fernandes to level the score.
The second half saw Manchester United taking the lead for the first time in the match, as Garnacho completed his brace with a headed goal.
With time running out, it seemed like the visitors would secure a hard-fought victory.
Yet, Chelsea refused to back down with Palmer stepping up once again, converting another penalty after Noni Madueke was fouled by Diogo Dalot.
However, Palmer sealed his hat-trick and Chelsea's victory with a deflected shot past Andre Onana, sending Stamford Bridge into a frenzy of celebration.
