If Arsenal can win at home against Luton Town on Wednesday night, they will go back to the top of the Premier League standings for twenty-four hours.
The Hatters lost 2-1 in North London to Tottenham Hotspur after failing to hold onto a 1-0 lead against Tottenham, while Mikel Arteta's tenacious team salvaged a commendable point from Manchester City.
Arsenal now has a two-point disadvantage against Liverpool, who don't play again until Thursday night, but they are still one point ahead of the current leaders in second place. The Gunners just need to continue their flawless record against recently promoted teams to temporarily reclaim the top spot.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes-all three of Arsenal's injury doubts-saw action at the Etihad, but the former struggled to get going and was replaced late in the game owing to exhaustion.
Only ACL casualty Jurrien Timber, who is expected to return before the end of the season, should be out for the Gunners this week since the aforementioned three have recovered from their niggles. With a nearly full roster at his disposal, Arteta shouldn't hesitate to change things up.
Although neither Leandro Trossard nor Martinelli are well-known for their achievements on the right, they should compete on Wednesday to fill in for the tired Saka. Fabio Vieira is an additional option.
Arsenal expected starting lineup:
Raya; Tomiyasu, Saliba, Kiwior, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard
