He will get you goals: Liverpool legend suggests best replacement for Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah continues to be linked with a big-money move to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has proposed West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah in the upcoming summer transfer window.

While acknowledging the challenge of finding a direct substitute for Salah, Lawrenson highlights Bowen's versatility, goal-scoring proficiency, and strong work ethic as qualities that could make him a suitable candidate for the Reds.

Bowen has showcased his talent with 14 goals and three assists in 28 Premier League appearances for West Ham United this season.

Lawrenson wants Bowen to replace Salah at Liverpool

Salah will have just one year left on his contract at the end of this season, and the expectation in some quarters is that the Egyptian will move on, especially as Jurgen Klop departs.

"Jarrod Bowen to Liverpool is very much a possibility," Lawrenson told Paddy Power.

"He can play in all three positions across the front line, gets you goals, and works hard, but you will not get another Mo Salah.

"The other thing he gives you is that he works extremely hard defensively - he wasn't great at it when he joined but he's improved on it.

"Anyone could join, but I think he will leave - no doubt about that whatsoever."
