Super Eagles interim head coach, Finidi George says it is important for his team to beat perennial rivals, Ghana in Friday's (today) friendly.
Finidi said the intense rivalry between the two countries will serve as an extra motivation for his players.
The former winger posited that it is important for his side to have a good game and most importantly go home as winners.
"The team is prepared, they know what is at stake that rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana is always there and that is an extra motivation for the players," Finidi told the Super Eagles media after training on Thursday.
"We are good to go, players are ready, they know what is at stake, we just want to have a good game and hopefully we will win."
The Super Eagles were criticised by many for their defensive approach during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 53-year-old however said their tactical approach for the game won't change much.
"We are not changing much (tactics), just add a little bit of few elements that we think would help the players.
"We will be very tactical and see how we can win the ball as quickly as possible," he added.
