Manchester United is reportedly considering selling Antony, their record £85 million signing from Ajax, this summer.
However, the ongoing police investigation into allegations of physical assault by Gabriela Cavallin, the player's former partner, might prove a hindrance to any club wishing to sign him.
The investigation by Greater Manchester Police and Sao Paulo Civil Police could complicate any transfer if the case is not dropped or Antony is not cleared.
While the player denies the allegations and was permitted to return to the club, he was put on an indefinite leave of absence when the reports first emerged.
Antony's performance on the field this season has also not been impressive, failing to score or assist in 22 appearances.
The club is hopeful he will eventually be vindicated but has their sights set on letting him go, the Telegraph reports.
