EVERTON targeted Casemiro as a weak point on their visit to Old Trafford, according to a TNT Sports commentator.
The Toffees started the match brightly and had some early opportunities to take the lead.
Ben Godfrey came close to giving the visitors the lead but was denied by brilliant goalkeeping from Andre Onana.
But the chance only came about due to some lacklustre defending from United.
Everton were able to exploit acres of space in the middle of the pitch as the Red Devils defence was left exposed.
TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher noted the space left by Casemiro was "starting to become an issue" for Erik ten Hag's side.
While co-commentator Lucy Ward added: "They're targeting him. He's the main one who does the build-up."
Casemiro, 32, did not fare much better on the ball as both commentators criticised his passing.
Fletcher said of the Brazilian: "His passing has been really bizarre."
Ward agreed, saying: "Really untidy with his passing."
Casemiro also drew criticism for his performance in the Manchester Derby defeat last week.
Former United star Paul Scholes said of the midfielder: "Look at Casemiro getting one-two'd.
"The defensive holding midfield player, that's criminal.
"The gap shouldn't be that far and Casemiro, with the experience he has got, he shouldn't be getting one-two'd in that position."
