Mauricio Pochettino's Blues have suffered another injury setback after their recent injury update included 3 key players.
In an update on the clubs official website, Vice Captain Ben Chilwell has been confirmed injured by Mauricio Pochettino in his pre match conference. Although the extent of his injury is yet to be known, the Skipper is all but certain to miss Monday's clash with Newcastle while the club awaits the results of his assessment. Center back Levi Colwill has also been confirmed injured and hasn't trained since their last game against Brentford after picking up a toe injury.
The return of Thiago Silva and Marc Cucurella to training comes at a very opportune time for Chelsea. Furthermore, energetic midfield engine Connor Gallagher has also not trained with the team since Brentford as he works his way back to full fitness after contracting a virus. Pochettino confirms that the Englishman is also a doubt for Monday.
The following injury update has been provided ahead of Chelsea's Premier League fixture against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.
