Chelsea Identify Two Managers To Replace Pochettino

Chelsea have reportedly identified Sporting Lisbon manager, Ruben Amorim and Brighton and Hove Albion boss, Roberto De Zerbi as the candidates to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

The 2-2 draw between Brentford and Chelsea on Saturday has put the Argentine under pressure at Stamford Bridge once more.

A portion of the supporters expressed their displeasure with X-rated chants directed at Pochettino and co-owner Todd Boehly. After failing to secure a victory against a team that had lost three straight games.

"Yes, I've been told but I did not hear, to be honest," Pochettino said when asked about the chants at full-time.

"That is why it is difficult for me to understand. I don't know. I need to believe what you are telling me but it is normal. We were losing the game 2-1 and it's about to express their frustration and we are responsible. I am responsible. I am the head coach."

A mixed run of results has left Pochettino with an unclear future. It is now uncertain if the 52-year-old will be in charge for the upcoming campaign.

The fact that the Blues lost the Carabao Cup final to an injury-plagued Liverpool team last month hasn't improved his situation.

Chelsea's chances of playing in Europe now depend on how well they do in the FA Cup. They will play Leicester City in the quarterfinals.

According to Football London, after Graham Potter was fired by Chelsea last year, Amorim became a target. And De Zerbi is rumored to be on Liverpool's short list to succeed Jurgen Klopp.

Amorim, who is expected to guide Sporting CP to the Portuguese title this season, is another man the Reds are considering.
