The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has arrested 11 suspects over alleged criminal offences in the state.
The Corps' Public Relations Officer in the state, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, said this while parading the suspects on Wednesday in Kano.
He said the 11 suspects were arrested on Feb. 27, at Yanbarka and Limawa Village in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the State.
"The suspects were arrested for allegedly terrorising the community of Yanbarka and Limawa Village during a wedding ceremony.
"In the process, the suspects attacked the family of one of community leaders, injuring and breaking the leg and hand of his son.
"The suspects were arrested with dangerous weapons such as cutlasses, knives, sharp iron rod and long wooden plank (Gora) among others," he said.
The PRO also said that operatives of the corps arrested a 26-year-old man, suspected to be dealing in illicit drugs in Doguwa Local Government in the state.
He said that the suspect was arrested in possession of 1,000 pieces of tramadol tablet worth N1 million in Riruwai Doguwa Local Government Kano on Feb.27.
Idris-Abdullahi said that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
He reiterated the NSCDC's commitment to protecting and safeguarding all critical national assests and infrastructure in the state.
