Just when Manchester United fans thought their team was turning a corner, they hit an almighty brick wall and fell to a deserved 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Saturday at Old Trafford.
On Friday, Manchester United and the under-fire Erik ten Hag suffered a blow when they found out that in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund would miss the game through injury.
It meant that senior players needed to step up, but rather than sticking their chest out, they didn't even show up.
The much-talked-about Marcus Rashford was one of them and Craig Burley thinks it's time for the player to head for the exit door, as he told ESPN.
The former Scotland international was pretty blunt and stated that, if he was Sir Jim Ratcliffe, then Marcus Rashford would be 'on the transfer list' and leaving before the 'waste of space' Antony.
This time last season, the England international was flying high and playing the best football of his career, regardless of Manchester United's indifferent nature.
But, once again, the 26-year-old is back to square one, even though Craig Burley was fooled into thinking he would turn up again this season.
Should Marcus Rashford leave Manchester United?
"I thought the boy would turn a corner and say 'I want to be this player every year'," said Burley.
"You have your Antony's and all that, who is a £100 million waste of space. (But) Marcus Rashford would be one of the first players that I would be, if I was Sir Jim Ratcliffe, saying to ten Hag or whoever it is, 'he is on the transfer list'.
"His attitude, not just today. He has had the odd goal recently. That reverberates around the team."
Manchester United's Champions League hopes
That took a massive hit, and even more so because Aston Villa secured a 4-2 win over Nottingham Forest to go eight points clear of Erik ten Hag's side.
Manchester United are a further five points behind fifth-placed Tottenham, with a much worse goal difference having played a game extra.
Whilst the club's recent form was hope that they were turning a corner and charging for those Champions League places.
In truth, with Manchester City coming up next in the Premier League, it just further indicates that there will be no top-four finish this term.
