A group of young ladies working at the Dangote Sugar Refinery have opened up on their daily experiences and activities in the renowned sugar production facility.
The company owned by billionaire Alhaji Aliko Dangote recently achieved a significant milestone by surpassing a market value of N1 trillion on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
The video, posted by TikTok user @big.geraldine, who has been with the company for three months and works in the process department, revealed intriguing details about their work environment.
Dressed in overalls and helmets, the ladies disclosed that contrary to popular belief, they are not in constant proximity to Aliko Dangote himself.
Instead, their daily routine revolves around wearing protective gear every day as they perform their tasks in the refinery.
Participating in the "Of Course" social media trend, another employee disclosed that they don't see Dangote every day.
The video continued with a mention of the practicalities of their work life, including the necessity of climbing heavy staircases on a daily basis.
Addressing people's perception about them, one of the ladies clarified that they are not as rich as people might think.
Moreover, the ladies shared that they get meal tickets every month and pointed out that the company provides staff buses for their daily commute to and from work.
The TikTok video concluded with a surprising revelation: the refinery produces approximately 65,000 bags of sugar every day.
