Following what was written beneath Nigerian Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi's shirt after he scored Nottingham Forest's first goal against West Ham United in the Premier League at the City Ground on Saturday night, Nigerians and social media users were enthralled.
The attacker for the Nigerian Super Eagles, who was injured and missed the 2023 African Cup of Nations competition in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, opened the score for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League match against West Ham in stoppage time to give the home team the lead.
Following his goal, Taiwo Awoniyi removed his Nottingham Forest jersey to see what was partially written in Yoruba on his inner garment.
His inside garment bore the writing "Kilen F'Olorunpe," which means "Who do you take God for?"
Social media users and Nigerians have responded to what was put beneath Taiwo Awoniyi's shirt after the player scored against West Ham United. Some have hailed him a great son of the most high, while others have suggested that he open Nottingham Forest Christian Assembly.
