The president of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara, held a reception for the players, coaches and officials of the Ivorian national team following its exploits at AFCON 2023.

President gifts the team
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, every player in the championship-winning squad is set to receive a substantial monetary reward of $82,000, along with the keys to a luxurious villa valued at the same amount.
Additionally, Coach Emerse Fae will be honoured with a generous sum of $164,000 for his pivotal role in guiding the team to victory.
Order of merit
Within the nation's National Order of Merit, team officials were bestowed the title of Commander, while coaches and players were honoured as Chevaliers and officers, respectively.
