Chelsea's chance to move to the 7th position in the league came to a halt following their 4-1 loss to Liverpool. The Reds have been in far better form than Chelsea since the season began, however, fans expected the Blues to put up a good fight following their impressive performance in their last three games. Chelsea recorded a 1-0 victory over Fulham, they then went on to record an impressive 6-1 victory over Middlesbrough in the EFL, and then recorded a draw against Aston Villa who had been in top form.
In the absence of Mohammed Salah, Jota and Luiz Diaz stepped up for Liverpool. Szoboszlia and Conor Bradley also scored one goal each for the Reds. The highlights of the game was Conor Bradley's impressive performance, Darwin Nunez's hitting the crossbar four times and Nkunku's goal. Christopher Nkunku who came into the game in the second half scored Chelsea's only goal of the game 26 minutes after his introduction into the match.
Christopher Nkunku has played just 5 games this season, he has been introduced as a substitute in 4 of these games and played as a starter in just one of these games. Despite playing for a limited period of time, Nkunku has already scored 2 goals. Nkunku's goal against Liverpool is arguably the best goal of the game, and might as well be one of the best scored by a Chelsea player this season.
This incredible goal shows what the French striker can offer Chelsea when he is fully fit.
