In a recent interview with Newsmen, former governor and political stalwart, Peter Obi, outlined an ambitious vision for Nigeria's economic future.
Peter Obi asserted that the country could generate more revenue from agriculture than from its traditional oil sector. Citing the vast uncultivated land in the Northern region as a key resource, he emphasized the need to harness this potential to lift people out of poverty and revive dormant industries.
"When I say we will make more money from agriculture than oil due to the vast uncultivated land in the North, that we need it to pull people out of poverty in the North, to kick-start the industries that are dead in the North, the people will see it," stated Obi.
The seasoned politician stressed that his statements were not mere political rhetoric but were rooted in factual assertions that would be supported by tangible actions. Acknowledging the monumental task ahead, Obi highlighted the importance of being on the right path and maintaining a consistent trajectory towards sustainable economic growth.
