AFCON 2023: Burna Boy lands in Abidjan ahead of Nigeria's clash against Guinea-Bissau

Burna Boy is currently in Cote d'Ivoire as Nigeria prepare to take on Guinea-Bissau in their final group game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Grammy award winner Burna Boy has landed in Abidjan two days before Nigeria take on Guinea-Bissau in their final Group A match at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Burna Boy headline STELL'AIR festival ahead of Nigeria's AFCON clash against Guinea-Bissau

Burna Boy, also known as Odogwu, arrived in the commercial capital of Cote d'Ivoire in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Grammy award winner is expected to hit the stage later tonight, where he will headline the  STELL'AIR festival.

In a video that the organisers of the festival shared on their social media platforms, Burna arrived with his mum and manager ahead of the show tonight.

However, it remains to be seen if the Last Last crooner will stay behind to watch the Super Eagles take on Guinea-Bissau on Monday evening.

Nigeria chasing AFCON 2023 Group A top spot

Nigeria will finish their group stage campaign at the ongoing AFCON 2023 with a clash against the Wild Dogs at Stade Félix-Houphouët-Boigny on Monday, January 22.

Qualification to next stage

The Super Eagles are on course to make the round of 16 and could finish top of the group with a win over the Guineans.

The team, currently camped in Abidjan, has been visited by a few personalities, with Burna Boy likely to be the latest.

Burna is not the first Nigerian artist to visit Abidjan during this competition. Singer, Yemi Alade, was also in the country a few days ago, performing at the opening ceremony.

The Mama Africa crooner also watched Nigeria's opening game against Equatorial Guinea before departing the country.
