Now that the January transfer window has been officially opened, Manchester United football club will aim to further claimed their attacking options under the management of Erik ten Hag.
The Old Trafford side have enjoyed a very disappointing start to the 2023/2024 season and are currently occupying the 7th position on the Premier League table after 20 matches.
Coupled with that, Manchester United football club have also struggled in front of goal with the likes of Antony, Facundo Pellistri and Anthony Martial failing to impress so far this season.
And as a result of this, Manchester United football club want to improve their attacking options and have been linked with a move for experienced Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal.
The 26-year-old Spain International, who gained promotion to the Real Sociedad first-team squad back in 2020 has been an important member of the team over the previous seasons.
The experienced left-winger was hugely influential for Real Sociedad during the 2022/2023 season where he scored four goals and created one assist in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Mikel Oyarzabal has also been hugely involved for Real Sociedad so far, this ongoing 2023/2024 season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist in the 26 matches he has played.
His excellent performances on the wings have caught the attention of Manchester United football club and according to reports from Transfer News Live, the Red Devils are keen on signing him.
The reports further claimed that Manchester United football club are really interested in Mikel Oyarzabal and are prepared to pay his release clause of €60million in order to sign him.
It is believed that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has had enough of the likes of Antony and Facundo Pellistri on the wings and he has identified Mikel Oyarzabal as improvement in that position.
But then, it remains to be seen if Manchester United football club will send in the proposed €60million bid in order to sign Mikel Oyarzabal from Real Sociedad before the transfer window closes.
