Now that the January transfer window has been officially opened, Manchester United football club will make use of the opportunity to sign a new striker to improve their current squad.
The Old Trafford side have endured a rather disappointing start to the 2023/2024 season and are currently occupying the 7th position on the Premier under the management of Erik ten Hag.
And with the likes of Anthony Martial, Rasmus Hojlund, Antony and Facundo Pellistri struggling in front of goal, Manchester United football club are on the lookout for a new striker this month.
And if reports are anything to go by, then the Premier League giants remain linked with a transfer move for experienced VfB Stuttgart centre-forward Serhou Guirassy.
The 27-year-old Guinea International, who signed up for Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart after departing Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2023 has hit the ground running with his new team.
Serhou Guirassy has been hugely impressive for VfB Stuttgart so far this ongoing 2023/2024 season, scoring 19 goals and providing two assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.
His excellent performances in front of goal is believed to have caught the attention of Premier League side West Ham United, but according to latest reports from Transfer News Live, Manchester United are now ready to hijack the deal.
The reports further claimed that Manchester United are really interested in Serhou Guirassy and are makinf moves to hijack West Ham United's £15million deal for the experienced striker.
It is believed that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants to add more firepower to his goalscoring options this month and he has identified Serhou Guirassy as a needed addition to his squad.
But with the likes of Newcastle United and AC Milan also interested in Serhou Guirassy, it remains to be seen where the experienced striker will choose to continue his football career if he eventually gets to leave VfB Stuttgart this month.
