Reality TV personality, Frodd, has spoken out about the kindness and benevolence of the late prophet TB Joshua, amidst widespread allegations of misconduct and abuse against the deceased founder of the Synagogue Church, as reported by the BBC.
Frodd revealed that during a difficult period in 2010, the Prophet not only funded his university scholarship but also provided him with 8,000 Naira daily for three months to support his livelihood.
In contrast, BBC Africa Eye's investigation included accounts from 16 former disciples of Joshua, who shared firsthand experiences of sexual assault and rape. One individual, identified only as Victoria, disclosed that Joshua instructed his trusted Nigerian disciples to identify new victims, forming an informal group referred to as the "fishing department," which she was coerced into joining.
Furthermore, Jessica Kaimu, now a broadcast journalist in Namibia, recounted being 17 years old and a virgin when Joshua allegedly raped her in the bathroom of his penthouse shortly after she joined the discipleship.
Additionally, several ex-disciples claimed they were subjected to unpaid labor, long working hours, and routine sleep deprivation while managing various aspects of the Synagogue Church.
