A hoodlum who is a member of a gang notorious for attacking and extorting truck drivers along the Mile 2-Tincan Road was arrested on Saturday while other members of the gang fled in different directions after they stabbed a driver and caused an accident.
According to the Lagos State Truck and Cargo Operators which announced the incident on its X handle on Saturday, the hoodlum was arrested after a truck driver, who apparently refused to allow them to extort him, was stabbed at the back after he crashed his truck into another stationary trailer.

It was gathered that the truck driver was trying to flee from the hoodlums who are notorious for extorting and demanding money from truck drivers along the Mile 2-Tincan Road and in the process, crashed into another trailer parked on the road.
However, despite being involved in the accident, the hoodlums did not spare him as they stabbed him on the back, causing him to bleed, while his clothes were torn by the hoodlums.
As this heinous act was being carried out, a distress call was sent to the police who arrived at the scene of the incident. While other hoodlums fled, one of them was arrested and has been taken away by the police operatives.
The wound sustained by the injured driver as a result of the attack may be too gory to be posted in this article while the Lagos State Truck and Cargo Operators disclosed that the attacks on truck drivers have become recurrent along the axis of the road.
