Canaanland is a vast expanse of land in Ota, where the headquarters of the Living Faith Church is located. It contains the Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seater capacity auditorium, as well as other structures.
Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the church, has revealed that the place was prophecied 17 years before it even existed. He said this during his sermon at the annual church workers' summit.
He started by declaring that the way you would know whether or not a prophet was sent by God, was whether his words came to pass. He explained that if the prophecy did not come to pass, the prophet spoke presumptuously.
He continued by explaining how God had been fulfilling the prophecies sent forth from his church since inception.
"What a blessing for those of us in Canaanland, you are seating on a prophetic ground," he said.
"Canaanland was spoken about 17 years before it came to pass," he revealed.
