Reports have surfaced indicating that Chelsea Football Club is considering a hike in ticket prices for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Since American businessman Todd Boehly assumed control at Stamford Bridge from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich last year, Chelsea has emerged as one of the significant spenders in the Premier League.
Investments exceeding £1 billion under Boehly's ownership have seen notable acquisitions such as Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson, Marc Cucurella, and Raheem Sterling.
Despite the substantial investment in new talent, Chelsea's on-field performance has been disappointing. Previous seasons saw managerial shifts with Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Frank Lampard attempting to steer the club back to glory, but all faced challenges.
The recent appointment of Mauricio Pochettino has also not yielded the desired results, with Chelsea presently occupying the 10th position in the Premier League, having amassed only 25 points from their initial 19 matches.
The team finds itself 12 points adrift from the top four and 17 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
