In a recent audio statement, Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades (Hamas' military wing), asserted their commitment to continue the fight against Israel, rejecting any deals that do not halt Israeli aggression on Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera, he emphasized that stopping Israeli aggression is the Qassam Brigades' top priority, with no acceptable deals until this aggression ceases entirely.
Abu Obeida claimed that since the onset of the Israeli offensive on Gaza starting October 7, the Qassam Brigades destroyed 825 Israeli vehicles, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, bulldozers, and drones. He asserted that the Israeli army failed to achieve its goals, with heavy casualties inflicted on Israeli soldiers and officers.
Highlighting the resilience of the Palestinian people, Abu Obeida stated that they demand rights and freedom, showing they won't surrender or compromise. He criticized the international community and Arab regimes, accusing them of hypocrisy and complicity in supporting Israel.
Referring to the Battle of al-Aqsa Flood as the current round of fighting, Abu Obeida claimed it put Israel on the path to extinction. He credited the Qassam Brigades' capabilities and tactics, using various weapons such as rockets, missiles, drones, tunnels, and naval and ground units.
Emphasizing the Qassam Brigades' determination, he declared their readiness for any scenario, including escalation, until Palestine is liberated from the river to the sea. Abu Obeida concluded by saluting the Palestinian people, especially martyrs, wounded individuals, prisoners, and Qassam Brigades' families. He expressed gratitude to supporters and allies, singling out Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Resistance Axis. He urged Palestinian unity and steadfastness, encouraging support for the Qassam Brigades in their struggle against Israel.
