Following the current state of the nation, Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, revealed that he told someone that God is no longer taking calls from Nigerians anymore. He further stated, "Look at China, no church, no mosque, but in Nigeria, every house, there is a church or mosque. Is God deaf?" He made this statement in reaction to the hardship Nigerians are facing, pointing out that most of the people praying to God are not pure-hearted people.
Speaking further in an interview with TVC, Ayo Fayose stated that if there is a sanctimonious relationship between the people and the church on a Sunday, on Monday we should not have crime on the road.
According to him, "It is sad that things are not easy for Nigerians, but the truth is that there is no Tinubu that can do miracles. I once told somebody God is not taking calls from Nigeria anymore. Look at China, no church, no mosque, but in Nigeria, every house, there is a church or mosque. Is God deaf? The evil is now more than what Nigerian prayers can hold, because most of the people who are even praying are criminals. That's the truth. If it is a sanctimonious relationship between the people and the church on a Sunday, on Monday we should not have crime on the road."
