President Bola Tinubu led the national mourning, describing Akeredolu as "a valiant governor and empathetic pioneer."
He hailed the late governor's "fortitude, positive energy, and endless commitment to the sacred and sociopolitical improvement of Nigeria."
Similarly, the Conference of Northern Governors expressed its sincere condolences to the people of Ondo State and praised Akeredolu's leadership, stating that "his outstanding accomplishments significantly impacted the transformation of Ondo State and contributed to the nation's progress."
