Ahead of the January transfer window, Manchester United football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their defensive options under the management of Erik ten Hag.

The Premier League giants were quite active during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund, Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Manchester United football club have been linked with a move for highly-rated Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite next year.

The 21-year-old England International, who signed up for Everton football club after departing Carlisle United back in 2020 has been an important member of the first-team squad so far.

The young central defender was hugely involved for Everton during the 2022/2023 season where he scored four goals and created two assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.

Jarrad Branthwaite has also started the ongoing 2023/2024 football season on a strong note, making 17 appearances in all competitions for Everton football club so far.

His excellent performances in the Everton heart of defence is believed to have caught the attention of Manchester United football club according to reports from Transfer News Live, the Red Devils want to sign Jarrad Branthwaite.

The reports further claimed that Everton are very much aware of Manchester United's interest in Jarrad Branthwaite and have slapped a price tag of £100million on the young defender.

This means that Manchester United football club will have to pay a whopping sum of £100million in order to secure the transfer of Jarrad Branthwaite when the window opens.

But then, it remains to be seen if Manchester United football club will go ahead to negotiate with Everton football club so as to sign Jarrad Branthwaite when the January transfer window opens in 2024.
