1. Giraffe
Giraffes can survive by sleeping for just five minutes in the entire day.
2. Dolphins
Dolphins remain conscious of their surroundings all the time to stop themselves from drowning. This is called "conscious breathing".
3. African Elephants
The elephants have brief periods of deep sleep and generally lean against a tree for support. But, they can manage to stay awake for an entire week.
4. Bullfrog
Bullfrogs continue to react to stimuli in a similar manner all the time, which means they do not sleep. They slip into brumation which is a form of binge sleeping after no sleep.
5. Sharks
A lot of shark species sleep by slowing down one part of their brain and keeping the other one active and remaining in constant motion to facilitate oxygen uptake.
6. Ants
In an ant colony, the worker ants take turns to rest, which totals 250 minutes of sleep every day.
7. Horses
Horses, on average, sleep for three hours every day and they mostly doze off while standing on their feet.
