Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has brushed off concerns about his job security amid recent rumors and speculation linking former Chelsea head coach Graham Potter to the position according to a report.
Despite facing scrutiny due to the team's recent struggles and early Champions League exit, Ten Hag remains focused on his responsibilities.
"I am not concerned about that," Ten Hag said, emphasizing his commitment to the ongoing process of improving the team.
Despite facing challenges, he expressed confidence in the support he receives from the current regime, including football director John Murtough.
"I feel that and they tell it but actually that is fine and that is OK, but I am focusing on the process to make this team play better, make the individuals better, and that is my concern," he added.
As United prepares to face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, Ten Hag provided updates on the team's fitness situation,
Luke Shaw is expected to be fit for the crucial match, providing relief for the manager who is already dealing with the absence of Harry Maguire for several upcoming games.
Maguire sustained an injury during Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Regarding Maguire's availability, Ten Hag stated, "Harry will not be available for the coming games, but we don't think it is long term."
Marcus Rashford is also back in contention after missing the Bayern match due to a combination of suspension and illness.
With Bruno Fernandes suspended for the upcoming game, Ten Hag chose not to disclose the team captain for the Liverpool clash.
Reflecting on the team's heavy defeat at Anfield last season, where they lost 7-0, Ten Hag mentioned, "Last year, we take that in our memory, but you have to also take the benefit from it and learn from it, and on Sunday we can prove it."
