Dr Dk Olukoya, the founder and presiding General Overseer of Yaba based Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, in the video of a message shared on his official Facebook page, has revealed why people need to call themselves to order.
According to the cleric, he has revealed in his words, from 20:00 to 21:26 of the video thus; "the activity of talking to yourself is not harmful unless you starts to hear responses. Many people have to start to call themselves to order. As we can see in the scriptures in Psalm 116:7, David had to call himself to order, one day, when he noticed some strange behaviours in his situation. He says; 'return unto thy rest O my Soul; the Lord has dealt bountifully with thee'. He spoke to himself to return to a state of rest. As believers, we too need to form this habit of talking to ourselves. This is because there are times when situations such as temptations might want to make you backslide-at this juncture, you must call yourself to order. Prophesy to yourself and instil a peaceful situation in your life".
As revealed by the cleric; " also, when you are sick, speak to your body, soul, and spirit-prophesy to your body, and command it to receive healing. When you are losing your mind; talk to yourself, and command your mind to return to its resting place. When when storms of discouragement are bombarding your soul, you should talk to yourself, and encourage yourself in the Lord as David encouraged himself in the Lord. Most importantly as a believer, you must talk to yourself when you are being provoked to anger. Do not allow the situation to lead to anger. Talk to yourself and instil the perfect situation to properly establish your life for God's blessings and victory".
