Declan Rice scored in the 98th minute to give Arsenal the winning goal on match day 15 of this season. This gave the Gunners their fifth stoppage time win in 2023. The first player to do so within the year is Eddie Nketiah. This English striker did it when the Gunners hosted Manchester United on January 22. He netted in the 90th minute to give the Londoners a well-deserved win in the game.

The second time that Arsenal got a stoppage time winner was in February 18 when the club clashed with Aston Villa. This Emiliano Martínez gave Arsenal the winning in the third minute of stoppage time with an own goal. It is worthy of note that Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli added an additional goal afterwards to increase the tally to 4-2 in favour of Arteta boys.

In March, it was the turn of another Englishman to join the exclusive group. This time, it was Reiss Nelson who did it against Bournemouth. Interestingly, he was brought into the game in the 69 minutes into the game and provided assist for the equalizer one minute later. He got the winning goal 7 minutes into stoppage time to ensure that Arsenal ended the day on top of the table.
The next player to do so is Declan Rice. This was on September 3 when his side hosted Manchester United. He gave the Gunners a win 6 minutes into stoppage time with a right-footed effort following a corner by compatriot Bukayo Saka. This happened to be the midfielder's first goal for the Gunners. Substitute Gabriel Jesus would add one more goal 4 minutes later to make it a 4-2 win. This makes him the fourth player to net a stoppage time winner for the Gunners this term. Rice's effort Against Luton has made Arsenal the first side to get five of such goals in a calendar year.
