Garnacho provided a key attacking spark for Man Utd

Garnacho, 19, produced a match-winning assist for Scott McTominay, but it was a piece of skill earlier in the second half which saw fans in uproar online.

Half-time substitute Sergio Reguilon had the ball at his feet at the start of the move.

He then played a pass infield towards Garnacho, who had been tracked by James from right back position.

However, the Argentine disguised his body to deceive the England international as he controlled the ball.

His first touch was to move the ball to his left with a superb piece of close control, which sent James tumbling to the floor as he tried to adjust.

With the 23-year-old now helpless Garnacho then motored down the left flank into the open space which would have otherwise been filled by the Blues captain.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "Just Garnacho casually sitting Reece James down, nothing to see here."

A second said: "Garnacho really sent Reece James back to Wigan."

The puts Man Utd level on points with Tottenham and just three points behind Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Chelsea remained in tenth after results elsewhere went in their favour.
