Luton Town almost held Arsenal to a draw last night before the Gunners scored at the stoppage time to steal all three points. Meanwhile, Ross Barkley's display has explained why Chelsea should have still kept him around.
Arsenal were the better side in the first half last night as Gabriel Martinelli gave them the lead before Gabriel Osho equalized for the home side then Gabriel Jesus scored to restore Arsenal's lead before halftime. In the second half, Luton Town came out stronger as Elijah Adebayo and Ross Barkley scored in quick succession to make the game 3-2 in Luton's favour. Kai Havertz scored to draw Arsenal level and a stoppage-time goal from Declan Rice gave Arsenal the victory.
However, Ross Barkley had an impressive performance as he had the following numbers last night: a goal, a key pass, five long balls, seven dribbles attempted, one blocked shot, two clearances and one interception. This shows why Chelsea should have still kept him around as he would have helped Chelsea this season.
One of the mistakes Chelsea made during the last transfer window was selling most of their experienced midfielders, a player like Barkley should have been kept.
