Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State might have won a second term to lead the state, however, his first term didn't come without controversy.
In his first term, the Governor and his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha were at loggerheads before the polls.
After his first term victory, Governor Uzodinma extended an olive branch to his predecessor and other aggrieved stakeholders in the State.
He said in the 2022 interview on Channels TV that he has nothing personal against the Imo West Senator as he urged all those aggrieved to team up with him in working for the State.
The Governor described his predecessor as his brother who took over from him as a Senator.
"Okorocha is my brother. He is occupying the seat I left in the Senate. I have nothing personal against him.
"All I'm asking is even if I have done anything that does not go down well with him or anybody, forgive and forget. Let us come together to work for our people," he said.
Since assuming office, Okorocha and Uzodinma have experienced a frosty relationship.
Some security operatives had in January arrested Okorocha's son-in-law, Uche Nwosu.
After Nwosu's arrest, Okorocha had accused Uzodinma of being responsible for the killing by unknown gunmen in the State.
