Coach Jose Peseiro has responded after NFF Technical Committee chairman Shariff Ahlan blasted him for the poor performances of the Super Eagles in recent times, especially in the World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has fired back at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), urging them to pay him his allowances and stop telling him how to do his job.
Peseiro made the statement after the NFF Technical Committee, led by Shariff Ahlan, blasted the coach for his teams's poor performances in recent times, especially in the World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

The Portuguese was appointed Super Eagles coach in 2022, and he has won six games and lost as many in his 15 games in charge of the three-time African champions.
Under Jose Peseiro's tutelage, the Super Eagles have scored 31 goals (ten of which came in a single game against Sao Tome and Principe) while conceding 21 goals.

Chairman NFF Technical Committee Ahlan said that they were not pleased with the performance of the Super Eagles under the Portuguese tactician Jose Peseiro and are desperate to hire a local coach to replace him.
"Henceforth, if I remain in the technical committee, if he submits a professional list he would come and justify the list in front of the committee, explaining why he invited each player based on their statistics and club performance.
"From our side, we've said Peseiro can't do the job, if you look at how he runs the affairs of the team it seems the Nigeria national team is bigger than him honestly."

In his response, Jose Peseiro told Ahlan to focus on more important matters -paying the coach's salary and not trying to dictate for the him.
"You're busy to pay me my allowances but not busy to tell me what I will do," he replied
