Pastor Paul Enenche has expressed concern about musicians who prioritize fame over talent. He asserted that some artistes compromise their integrity by making deals with negative forces to gain popularity, even if they lack musical skill. The pastor emphasized the potential spiritual cost of such choices.
In his words, "There are musicians who go for power to become famous. They sell their souls for their albums. Before you know it, you are hearing the name everywhere, what happened? Some of them have zero voice. Zero skill. Some of them have no business with music at all, they just stepped in there like a trade and sold their souls to Satan."
Pastor Enenche also reflected on the past, appreciating legendary musicians like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Celine Dion, who he believes had inherent talent before succumbing to negative influences. He invoked the biblical principle of gaining the world at the expense of one's soul, highlighting the contrast between those with genuine musical ability and those who allegedly make deals with the devil for success.
He added, "What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? Even in those days, it was better when you had people like Michael Jackson who was talented and skillful. Elvis Presley, Celine Dion and some of those people. At least those people had something, there was a baseline inside of them first. That was perverted and they went extra to the devil."
