The Blues have had to rely on Raheem Sterling, Nicols Jackson, and Cole Palmer for goals, and while Jackson has come into the reckoning in recent weeks, he remains a second option at best.
Nkunku's return virtually guarantees goals - the 24-year-old scored 58 goals in his final two seasons for Leipzig, from a support striker role, one he should fulfil brilliantly under Mauricio Pochettino.
