The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has further reiterated the reason behind the ongoing industrial action in the country.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) took to its official X, formerly known as Twitter, handle to make this known following the ongoing nationwide strike action.
NLC says, "Truth Be Told - We Are on Strike."
The Labour union revealed reason behind the ongoing nationwide industrial action in the country.
"The National President of the union, Mr Joe Ajaero, was in Imo state on the directive of NLC National Executive Council (NEC) to fight for some workers who were owed 31 months of salaries and over ten thousand workers were unjustly declared ghost workers in Imo state. Every worker should understand the truth, NLC fights for the right of every workers, do not be deceived.
"He (Joe Ajaero) was attacked and brutalized in the course of this civic duty by Imo State Governor's thugs and the police." Said, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
Recall, the ongoing nationwide strike action commenced in the midnight (12:00) of Monday, 13 2023.
