The English Premier League brought entertainment once again to our doorsteps last week as some teams performed incredibly to win their respective matches on matchday 12 of the competition. Topsides like Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United all won their respective matches in the Premier League as they did enough to secure all three important points ahead of the upcoming international break.
Well, in today's article, I will be sharing my Premier League team of the week involving some of the best players in matchday 12 of the competition. Let's take a look.
Goalkeeper: Neto (Bournemouth).
Neto stood out for Bournemouth in their surprising 2-0 victory over Newcastle United. The Brazilian International made some important saves in the encounter to keep a well-deserved clean sheet for Bournemouth.
Centre-Backs: Victor Lindelof (Man Utd) and Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool).
Victor Lindelof came through for Manchester United in the competition as he netted the team's only goal which aided their narrow victory over Luton Town. Virgil Van Dijk on the other hand was very composed defensively for Liverpool, making the necessary ball wins to neutralize the threat coming from Brentford's attackers.
Full-Backs: Reece James (Chelsea) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal).
Reece James showed his true class against Manchester City as he was able to keep one of the league's dangerous wingers in Jeremy Doku quiet throughout the encounter. Oleksandr Zinchenko on the other hand had one of his best performances for Arsenal this season and he also managed to score a brilliant goal against Burnley.
Midfielders: Rodri (Man City), Pablo Sarabia (Wolves), and James Ward-Prowse (West Ham United).
Rodri did a brilliant job for Manchester City in the middle of the park and he also scored a stunning goal against Chelsea. James Ward-Prowse saw to it that West Ham United bounced back to winning ways in the competition as he provided two brilliant assists to aid the team's tight 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest. Pablo Sarabia on the other hand came off the bench to orchestrate Wolves' unexpected comeback victory over Tottenham.
Forwards: Leandro Trossard (Arsenal), Erling Haaland (Man City) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).
Leandro Trossard bagged a goal and an assist in Arsenal's convincing win over Burnley. Erling Haaland scored twice for Man City against Chelsea as he delivered a fine performance in that game. Mohamed Salah turned up for Liverpool once again as he netted two goals to aid the team's 3-0 victory over Brentford.
