Precious Elekima, a former governorship aspirant in Rivers State has said that former Governor Nyesom Wike thought he had somebody he could control in the person of Governor Sim Fubara but 'God has arrested him'
Elekima made this statement during an interview with AIT while speaking about the crisis between Wike and his successor, Fubara. He acknowledged the role Wike played in Fubara's emergence as governor and thanked him for it. However, he said Wike has no control over Rivers and it is the people of the state that have control of the state and Fubara will govern the state.
In Elekima's exact words: "God arrested Nyesom Wike with Sim Fubara he thought that he had somebody he would pocket but now God has arrested him and as far as I am concerned he has been defeated because whether he likes it or not, everybody has seen that he has no control and the people have control of their state and Fubara will stay to rule Rivers State. We thank him that he has ruled the place like a general and he has brought Sim up".
