For the purpose of promoting national reconciliation, a well-known Nigerian scholar from Lagos State University, Prof. Samuel Odewunmi, has pleaded with the president regarding his appointment decisions. During his interview on AIT, Odewunmi talked about Ohanaeze's request and Kanu's problem.
He stated that elections come with a lot of bruises for people's egos and ethnic groups, adding that President Tinubu should demonstrate through his appointment that this is a government for anyone.
Addressing the topic, Odewunmi said, "There must be national healing. Elections come with a lot of bruises for people's egos and ethnic groups. Tinubu should demonstrate through his appointment that this is a government for everyone. I must specifically mention that Tinubu needs to palliate the east, make them happy, and not feel sad for not voting for him."
