Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has said everyone must take responsibility for their 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils were eliminated from the competition in front of their home supporters.
Ten Hag had ended the six-year wait for silverware for silverware by winning the trophy earlier this year.
But since then, things have become worse and the loss to Newcastle was their eighth defeat in 15 matches this campaign.
It comes after a 3-0 thrashing in the hands of Manchester City last weekend.
"We know this is not good enough. We have to take responsibility for it, I have to take responsibility for it.
"We don't give the performance, so I feel sorry for the fans.
"It is below our standards and we have to put it right," Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
"We have to recover from it but we have to quickly recover - Saturday is the next game (against Fulham), and we have to raise our standards. This is not good enough."
