Chelsea kicked off premier league actions on Saturday when they took on Brentford at Stamford Bridge by 12:30 BST. It was Chelsea who dominated possession in the first half and created far more better chances.
The first chance came in the 6th minute when Gallagher passed to Madueke whose curled effort hit the post. The second chance came in the 19th minute when Palmer's brilliant pass met Cucurella whose effort was repelled by Flekken. Sterling was also culpable for another missed chance when he blazed his effort over the bar. The game eventually finished goalless at the break.
In the second half, Brentford improved and started to ask questions of their own. Although Robert Sanchez did come up with a brilliant save in the 50th minute, he could do nothing when Pinnock eventually broke the deadlock in the 58th minute to give Brentford the lead.
Brentford piled more misery on Pochettino's men when Mbeumo scored in the 6th minute of added time to inflict a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
In the EPL table, Chelsea have now slipped to the bottom half of the table after their 2-0 loss to Brentford. Chelsea occupies 11th spot in the table and with many more games to be played, Chelsea could even slip further down before the end of Saturday's premier league games. The table is shown below.
