Former Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil hailed Harry Maguire and Andre Onana after the duo's heroics in Manchester United's Champions League 1-0 win against Copenhagen on Tuesday.
Man United clinched their first win of their Champions League campaign on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
It was a lackluster performance from the Red Devils against Copenhagen but Maguire and Onana came to the fore.
Maguire put Erik ten Hag's men in the lead in the 72nd minute with a superb strong header following a brilliant cross from Christian Eriksen.
However, his hard work was nearly undone by Scott McTominay in the 90+5th minute of the encounter.
McTominay gave away a penalty in the dying embers and all the pressure was Onana to come to Man United's rescue.
The Cameroon international produced a magnificent save to deny the visitors a point against the Premier League giants.
Reacting, Ozil, in a tweet via his X account after the game, insisted that both Onana and Maguire, who have been heavily criticized in recent months, have silenced their haters with their impressive displays.
Ozil tweeted, "Harry Maguire & Andre Onana deserve that - silencing their haters."
