According to a report by Channels TV, Adoki also warned Sheikh Gumi and others to refrain from making harmful statements about Nyesom Wike and to put an end to their unfriendly behavior towards leaders from southern Nigeria.
In his statement, Adoki said, "The time of planning with bandits and criminals to kidnap and profit from ransoms is over. Eze Nyesom Wike is the Minister of FCT, and we must accept that. It is foolish for this man to suggest otherwise."
Sheikh Gumi
Furthermore, Adoki questioned Sheikh Gumi's credibility and pointed out that Gumi's state contributes little to the country, yet he dares to call for Wike's removal as FCT Minister simply because Wike received the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria in his office.
The legislator called for unity and respect among leaders from different regions of Nigeria, emphasizing that the country can only thrive when its leaders work together for the common good. He condemned the divisive rhetoric that only serves to deepen the divide between regions.
Adoki concluded his statement by appealing to Gumi and others to engage in constructive dialogue with leaders from southern Nigeria. He reminded them that the nation is facing numerous challenges, and it is crucial to prioritize collaboration and finding solutions instead of resorting to harmful and inflammatory statements.
