Former France defender, Marcel Desailly, has tipped Chelsea to overcome Arsenal ahead of Saturday's London Derby clash at Stamford Bridge.
Recall that the Gunners are joint top of the Premier League alongside rivals Tottenham while the Blues sit 11th on the league table.
However, with the Blues having recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since March with victories over Fulham and Burnley, Desailly in a chat with Gambling Zone said that Chelsea will defeat Arsenal 3-1.
"It looks impossible, but I'll go for a 3-1 win [to Chelsea].
"Why not? This is the beauty of the Premier League.
"As soon as a team has a mental drop and isn't ready for the intensity of a match, they can lose," Desailly told Gambling Zone.
Desailly is widely considered to be among the greatest centre-backs and defensive midfielders to ever play football.
During a successful career at club level, lasting from 1986 to 2006, Desailly won several titles, including UEFA Champions League medals with both Marseille and AC Milan, and also played for Nantes and Chelsea, among other teams.
At international level, he collected 116 caps between 1993 and 2004, scoring three goals, and was a member of the France international squads that won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.
