Victor Osimhen's off-field troubles continue after the Napoli striker was accused of abduction on social media
Off-field drama continues to plague Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has been accused of using state agents to carry out an abduction by a user on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Osimhen accused of facilitating abduction
Osimhen has only just cleared up one social media storm after being embroiled in a TikTok saga with his own club but is now facing trouble of a different kind on another social media platform.
X user @ositaokolo uploaded a video of an alleged abduction by men of the Nigerian DSS, accusing Osimhen of using the state agents to take his [Osita's] wife, who also happens to be related to the Napoli forward.
According to the accuser, the abduction of his wife stems from an ongoing legal dispute with Osimhen, which is already being deliberated in court.
Osimhen in fresh social media mess
Mr Okolo in his post, said, "@OfficialDSSNG has gone rogue. Victor Osimhen sends dsssng to forcefully abduct his sister (my wife) over a matter that is still in court bw [between] myself and him."
A follow-up post also read "You are evil @victorosimhen9! All I asked for is 'return my commission'. You sent @OfficialDSSNG to beat, molest, slap and strip my wife naked on the street of Nigeria. You will pay for this."
The complainant also tagged a host of relevant bodies and authorities to his accusations, including Osimhen's club Napoli, sponsors Nike, the Nigerian police, the NFF, and even British ex-footballer and pundit Gary Lineker.
Osimhen is yet to respond to the accusations at this time, having been involved in international duty with Nigeria's Super Eagles in their friendly against Saudi Arabia in Portugal.
Osimhen suffered an injury during the match against Saudi Arabia and has been excused from the Super Eagles camp to fully recover ahead of a return to club football.
