Fomer kaduna lawmaker and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Shehu Sani has stated that lifting of ban on products such as toothpicks, cement and other agricultural products that are produced in Nigeria, is a disastrous economic strategy.

He said lifting the ban on some of the products that are made in Nigeria will amount to something that will affect the economy of the nation.
He proceeded to state that the nation's scarce Forex should be used to support local production not importation. Shehu Sani said the new governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN should think of better ways.
