Eden Hazard's career ended too soon at 32, but he deserves respect for following his dream and becoming a Chelsea icon.
Hazard was one of the best players in the Premier League when he left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2019, hoping to win the Ballon d'Or and follow in the footsteps of his idol Zinedine Zidane. But his move turned into a nightmare, as he suffered 18 injuries and missed 89 games for club and country. He never showed his true potential at the Bernabeu, where he was seen as a flop.
Hazard's best moments came at Chelsea, where he played more than 700 games and dazzled fans with his skills and goals. He won many trophies and awards and left a lasting legacy at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard had a brilliant career, but it was cut short by injuries. He can still be proud of what he has achieved, and so can his fans. He chased his dream, even if it didn't work out.
