Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has backed under-fire goalkeeper, Andre Onana after another sub-par performance in the UEFA Champions League against Galatasaray on Tuesday.
Onana's wayward pass eventually led to Casemiro's red card as Man United lost 3-2 to Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Recall that the Cameroonian was also at fault for Bayern Munich's first goal in Man United's 4-3 defeat to the Bundesliga champions in their Champions League opener.
Onana's performances in the Premier League have also come under scrutiny, but Ten Hag backed, saying he has the ability to become one of the best in the world.
"We are happy with our goalkeeping group, definitely with Andre. He was in one semi-final of the Champions League, last year he was in the final of the Champions League, he has the capabilities to be one of the best in the world," Ten Hag told the media (via Sky Sports) after the game.
"He has shown that and he will do it. We already have seen in games his great capabilities, also his personality after he made mistakes. He will bounce back and I am sure he will in the coming games as well."
Onana has conceded 18 goals in ten games for Manchester United so far this season.
